Put your TRUST in the Professionals!

So this last week was a bit of a whirlwind when a horse I have had for over 22 years became ill very quickly. It was frightening and I haven't been that scared in a really long time. Thankfully we got him to one of the best Vet's in Colorado at Littleton Large Animal Clinic in Littleton, literally in the nick if time.

We arrived at the clinic at 1 am in the morning and the Dr Miller did a quick exam and let us know right away that Rebel was indeed very sick. His heart rate was twice the normal rate and he had a fever and was dehydrated and fading fast. Several Vet's worked on him for a couple of hours or so,, trying to get him stabilized. I remember leaving the hospital that night with my horse in ICU and imagining him never coming home again. I cried all the way home.

The vet reminded us as we left, that "no news was good news" and they would only call us in the middle of the night if Rebel took a turn for the worse. I was exhausted and didn't sleep well.. praying my cell phone would stay quiet throughout the night. The level of stress and fear I had for several days before knowing when and if my horse was coming home was almost unbearable.

My husband, watching me suffer, reminded me that Rebel was with the best Professional Vets in the state. He kindly told me to TRUST them as they knew what they were doing. If they couldn't get Rebel better, I had given him the best chance possible for a good outcome. I remember feeling such a huge sense of relief from the crushing pressure of the stress I was feeling as soon as I understood that he was right.

I really did need to give up the fear and anxiety of what was going on around me because I WAS in great hands. Professionals were helping me move through the event with confidence that they were Experts in their field. Man, did that feel good.

It really started me thinking about how I can always be improving my service to my clients and their experience when they are stressed, buying or selling a home. I don't think anyone would consider either of these two activities as "stress free". As much as we try there are so many "fingers in the pie" in a real estate transaction! Buyers, Sellers, Listing agents, Buyers agents, Lenders, Appraisers, Inspectors, Title companies and investors loaning the funds. It really is a juggling act the majority of the time. Problem solving along the way to keep the transaction moving to a closing table.

What I do hope for is that my clients know they have hired one of the best in the business. A Professional Team that has the experience, knowledge and understanding of a Real Estate Transaction. Navigating through the difficult pieces of it that can be stressful for the clients.

Our goal as true Professionals, is to keep any stress to a minimum.  Even after almost 17 years in the business, my team is constantly learning and growing and staying educated on all the changes, as the market moves. To ensure that we are always at the "Top of our game" we practice getting even better at our Profession every day which keeps us on the cutting edge... and we kinda like it there!

So, what I think I can appreciate about this scary experience with a horse I love very much, is that it brought me Awareness. A remembrance about all the great things we do for our clients. How much we care about them and we hope they ALWAYS know they are not just in good hands,,, but some of the BEST hands in the industry. We hope they always know we never stop trying to get better and never stop wanting to do more to serve them at even a higher level.
